In essence, this lesson is all about improving communication skills and understanding the needs of the people of your organization and your customers to make the best product and build a helpful relationship with the team to succeed in the business.
Lesson 10: Experiencing Your Product Firsthand: Richard’s Spaceflight
One of the essential components to success in any business is to put yourself in the customers’ shoes and understand their pinpoint and the need to make them buy your product.
Richard believes in hands-on involvement, engaging with the frontline workers, and experiencing the product and services firsthand rather than confining themselves to board meetings. Richard took a ride on a Virgin Galactic Space ship to understand the product’s details. He became an astronaut and took notes of the finest details that could affect the customer experience.
While taking a ride, he identified 35 improvements for future flights, and this suggestion collectively has the company improve the overall customer experience.

By doing so, they can make informed decisions, continuously improve their business performance and customer experience, and create a better product and services.
Lesson 11:Draw a Ring Around Yourself
It is one of the exciting chapters where Richard introduces the philosophy of taking care of yourself and the world around you, and he terms it as drawing a ring around yourself.
This philosophy mainly means focusing on achieving a balanced and healthier life along with running your business; he suggested that everyone should start by focusing on their well-being within a personal ring, ensuring they are healthy, fit, and enjoy.
Once an individual feels secure and balanced, they can expand their ring to include family, friends, and neighbors or offer support and assistance. It can be near the community or in your locality.
What I liked about this particular chapter is that Branson has also emphasized the importance of community involvement, especially in time of need, such as during a hurricane; he described how in the British Virgin Islands, neighbor rings overlap, allowing four collective efforts in rebuilding schools and helping them during the emergencies.
Moreover, Richard Branson has shared various stories and examples to help you understand the concept explained in this chapter.
From my experience, overall, the critical message of this chapter is to focus on the well-being and health of your life while running the business and offering help to people who are in need
Lesson 12 : Case Study: Forming The Elders
In this chapter, Richard Branson shared a case study. He highlighted the unique advantage of being a global figure, particularly having the ability to connect with influential people and make a significant impact around the globe, even when he attempted to stop the war.

In this situation, Branson wrote a letter to Saddam Offering to deliver medical supplies to Iraq in exchange for their release of the hostage and children, and using his connection with the king of Jordan, he had the letter delivered to Saddam, who agreed on the proposal and released the children and the hostages.
This experience for brands and the significant responsibility and opportunity of being a business leader. In this chapter, he teaches you how to use your leverage of the position to make a meaningful contribution to your country and society.
