I personally prefer to make my own notes To retain things in a more detailed way and remember them for a longer time.

Practical Exercises and Real-World Examples
Another thing that makes this course different from other courses out there is that it does not only contain theoretical concepts But also practical exercises and real-world examples.
Judd Apatow has broken down the concepts behind the scenes of his popular movies, such as 40 Old Year Virgin and Knocked Up. He also explains how he has applied the concepts he has covered in this master class.
Overall, you will gain all the knowledge and actionable steps you need to take to become a successful comedian and learn the art of comedy from Judd Apatow.

I found these features very helpful as they helped me build a network of people interested in the same field and helped me grow together and get better at my craft.
Additional skill with comedy
I know that this course is related to writing comedy, but Apatow has not Limited this course just to comedy. He has also said that his experience And the additional skills will shape you to become a better comedian.
Apart from comedy, he has also covered the art of writing storylines, building the character arc, directing, producing techniques, tips for effective writing, and many more.
I really like this advice on working with the actors playing the multiple roles in the film and creating a strong Punchline that relates to the audience.
What could be improved in this course?
This course covers an in-depth guide to writing comedy, but I have observed a few things while completing the lessons that can be improved to make this course even better for the learners.
References are not easy to understand
First, you must understand that Apatow is not an experienced professor or teacher like any other. He does not have teaching experience.
Because of this I found some of the references that he mentioned and this course are not easy to understand and very hard to follow for a beginner.
Sometimes, he also mumbles while explaining the concept, which is totally understandable as you know that he is a fast talker.
But at the end, you need to understand that dude Apatow is a comedian rather than a teacher, but still, this course covers the vital lessons that he has learned from his experiences.
Not always specific towards comedy
Another thing that I found a bit weird is that the title of this course is “Judd Apatow Teaches Comedy.” But this course is not only related to comedy but also covers topics like directing, producing, writing, and editing.
Although Apatow covered various things about comedy in the early lessons, from understanding the audience to developing the stories to writing punchlines,
But later, this course is inclined more towards structuring TV shows, Finding the right actor for the characters, working with the actors, shooting the comedy, and editing in a way that the audience can relate to and keep entertained.
From my experience, all of these lessons are useful for shaping your comedy skills, but if you are more interested in standup comedy, then you will find this course less worthy, as it is mostly production-focused.
Few lessons are less practical with no proper explanation
One of the things that I struggle with in the course is that, in some cases, the scores are mostly focused on theoretical knowledge, which does not have the proper explanation, which makes it a bit challenging for people to understand the concept.
Some of these include types of storyline cuts, structuring the stories, and building the character. As per my research, dude Apito has good prayer knowledge and experience with this Complex term, so if he explains this in simple language, then it is a lesson more worthy.
Who should consider Judd Apatow Masterclass ?
You have a clear idea about the concept that the scores cover and teach to the learner. Now, let’s talk about who should consider buying the course.
